The section of Personal Dosimetry ensures the individual monitoring of the workers occupationally exposed to ionizing radiation in the University Hospital of Heraklion.

We collaborate with Greek Atomic Energy Commission, which maintains the National Dose Registry. According to the Greek Radiation Protection Regulations, the individual monitoring is obligatory for workers occupationally exposed to ionizing radiation who belong to the category A (probably to exceed 3/10 of the dose limits), while it is recommended for those of category B (not probably to exceed 3/10 of the dose limits).
