This course was legislated in September 1998 and is based upon the close collaboration of five Universities, as well as of two research centers. The collaborating universities are the University of Crete, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University of Ioannina, the University of Thrace and the University of Athens. The collaborating research organizations are the Greek Atomic Energy Commission and the NCSR "Dimokritos". This programme aims at training physicists in Medical Physics with emphasis on Medical Radiation Physics.
