Welcome to the Medical Physics Department website of the University of Crete. The Department of Medical Physics is located in Iraklion, Crete, Greece and is part of the School of Medicine. At this website, you can find information about our research activities, education as well as clinical work performed at the University Hospital of Heraklion. In addition, you will learn about our recent accomplishments, staff, organization and Medical Physics news. The Department has a major research portfolio and also teaches the principles and practice of medical physics to undergraduate medical students as well as to residents during their clinical training. We also offer a program leading to the degree of Master of Science in Medical Radiation Physics. Moreover, several PhD candidates and postdoc researchers conduct high-quality original research in conjunction with the faculty.
