  1. Design, development and applications of Magnetic Resonance Imaging protocols for the quantitative assessment of osteoporosis. (quantitation of osteoporosis on selected sites of the axial and peripheral skeleton eg. Spine, hip, heel, radius, tibia).
  2. Design, development and applications of Magnetic Resonance Imaging protocols for the quantitative assessment of hemosiderosis in multi-transfused thalassemic patients. (quantitation of hemosiderosis in parenchymal organs of the abdomen and in the myocardium).
  3. Design and development of quality control procedures and software tools for Magnetic Resonance Imaging systems.
  4. Design and development of integrated polymer gel dosimetry methodologies focused upon the following research activities :
  5. Development of new polymer gel dosimeter fabrication methodologies. (optimum chemical synthesis for the improvement of the dosimetric accuracy and reproducibility figures.
  6. Improvement of polymer gel dosimeter reading methodologies with the utilization of 2D and 3D advanced Magnetic Resonance imaging techniques.
  7. Development of polymer gel dosimeter reading methodologies with the utilization of 2D and 3D Optical Tomography techniques.
  8. Applications of polymer gel dosimetry methodologies in modern radiotherapy techniques (conformal radiotherapy, intensity modulated radiotherapy, radiosurgery etc).
  9. Applications of polymer gel dosimetry methodologies in computed tomography.
